Well duh. Marvel already released the next 9 years of movies, so it definitely won’t be any time soon.
But eventually, the current actors’ contracts will finish and Marvel will need new content. Since they’ve put Cassie in MCU Young Avengers is a possibility. Like, we have Cassie and Vision, and since Wanda’s been introduced we could also have Speed and Wiccan eventually. And Loki’s already been introduced,so. It wouldn’t be a stretch to add Kate in somewhere along the line, and if they say anything about isaiah bradley (or even just that steve wasn’t the first person to get the serum) BANG its set up for Patriot. And its a stretch, but with gotg we have the set up for at least one of hulklings parents. Etc. So like, it will take a while, but i have a feeling a young avengers movie is coming.
Can i just say that i FUCKING called everything that marvel is doing back in JULY 2015!!?!?
Buuuut anyways i have been in the process of applying to graduate school for astronomy and i’ve had one interview so far and was invited for another!!! Which is just incredible given how fucking competitive astro phd programs are, holy shit. I can’t tell my irl friends bc we’re all applying and we have a pact so no one feels bad
There is something particularly funny when social media is outraged ~~no one is talking about this!~~ when it is literally the top story for both the New York Times AND The Washington Post and both MSNBC and CNN have been talking about it a whole lot.
For context, I am in no way commenting in any way other than to say it is really damn strange to see people on social media say that there is no coverage of what is happening in Portland when this is the what the New York Times front page looks like right now:
And while it has since been moved to a lower spot on their page to make way for more recent breaking news, this is the current number one most read article at the Washington Post:
Basically what I am saying, and have been cautioning against for ages, is this impulse to equate what is and is not on your socail media feed to what actual news agencies are focusing on, and a very constant and obvious discrediting of journalists that occurs all the damn time on social media with baseless (and super easy to debunk) claims that journalists are never covering stories they are not only focusing on but are also highlighting.
[autotuned] so i go to college and i have the wooorst job on campus. i’m an RA ON CAMPUS and one time at 4:30 in the morning, i get a knock on my door. and someone says to me “there’s a kid dead in the bathroom” and i said “dead in the bathroom?” and he goes “DEAD IN THE BATHROOM” and i said “oh my god” so i walk down the hall and they show me this kid and he looks like he’s DEAD IN THE BATHROOM and so i called the cops and said hey there’s a kid DEAD IN THE BATHROOM
and the cops show up and then the kid wakes up and he starts ~throwing up violently! all over the place!~ and the cop says “we should call an ambulance” and then the kid says “DON’T CALL THE AMBULANCE” and i said “WE SHOULD REALLY CALL THE AM-BU-LANCE”
…… and we didn’t call the ambulance
[extremely quietly] and then the kid gets into a fight with the cop and the cop gives him a hearing notice and then the kid
[deep sigh] TEARS UP THE HEARING NOTICE IN FROOOOONT OF THE COP
